1. Information We Collect

KIPTV collects the minimum amount of data necessary to provide the service:

• Account information: the email address you register with (email and password, Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In) and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the name on that account
• Playlist configuration: the connection details of your IPTV service (server address, username and password), synced to your account so your playlists are available on all your devices
• Usage data: watch progress, favorites, tags, and preferences for cross-device sync
• Technical data: device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the KIPTV service
• Sync your watch progress, favorites, and settings across devices
• Manage your account and subscription
• Improve application performance and fix bugs
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage & Security

Your playlist details, including your IPTV username and password, are synced through our cloud provider so the same playlists appear on all your devices. They always travel over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), are stored encrypted at rest, and are protected by access rules that keep them private to your account. Sync data (watch progress, favorites, settings) is protected the same way. We never sell or share your credentials and use them only to provide the service.

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

KIPTV uses the following third-party services:

• Apple / Google: for sign-in, subscriptions and push notifications
• Supabase: for secure data storage and synchronization
• RevenueCat: for subscription management
• Better Stack: for crash reports and diagnostic logs
• Trakt: to show ratings on movie and series pages (we only send which title you are viewing) and, if you connect your Trakt account, to sync what you watch
• TMDB (The Movie Database): for information and images about movies and series (we only send which title is being looked up)

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing its use of your data.

5. Content Disclaimer

KIPTV is solely a media player. We do not provide, host, or distribute any content. We have no control over the content users choose to access through their own IPTV services. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to access any content they stream. Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding content access in their jurisdiction.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• With third-party service providers strictly necessary for the operation of the app (as listed above)
• When required by law, legal process, or government request
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of KIPTV, our users, or others

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the in-app settings (Settings › Account › Delete Account) or request it through our contact form; the steps are on the account deletion page. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

KIPTV is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Feedback, Support & Diagnostic Data

When you submit feedback or open a conversation in the in-app Support Center (bug report, improvement, or feature request), KIPTV attaches a diagnostic snapshot to help us reproduce and fix the issue. This data is collected only when you tap "Send" or open a new conversation and includes:

• Device model and operating system version
• App version and build number
• Locale, region, and timezone
• Network connection type (WiFi or cellular — never IP address or network name)
• Active playlist provider host (e.g. iptv.example.com) — never your username or password
• Recent app event log (last ~200 entries) with credentials masked automatically
• Optional: photos or videos you choose to attach
• Subscription tier (free or premium) and whether the daily free-time limit has been reached
• Whether parental controls are active on this device (true/false only — never the PIN itself)
• EPG cache statistics (number of cached entries and refresh interval) — never the program titles or channel data

Legacy feedback submissions are stored on Supabase and forwarded to the KIPTV support team via email. They are deleted automatically after 12 months. You can request earlier deletion at any time by contacting us.

Conversations opened in the in-app Support Center (messages, attachments, and the diagnostic snapshot above) are stored on Supabase so we can keep replying to you over time. To deliver push notifications when we reply, KIPTV registers the device's APNs/FCM push token under your account; the token is removed when you sign out. Photos and videos attached to a conversation are deleted automatically 90 days after it is closed, or earlier on request or together with your account.
